In November they did just that – and raised more than $10,000 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
“My brother Matt and I walked the Kokoda Trek because it was something we had both wanted to do,” Laura said.
“I was so excited to see that it was also raising money for the RFDS because we both have a high appreciation for the work they do.”
Prue Steel, RFDS South Eastern Section Senior Community Fundraising Coordinator, said without the support of people like Laura and Matt, the service wouldn't be able to deliver care to the furthest corners.
“Their passion and generosity is inspirational and they make such an important contribution to the work the RFDS does,” Prue said. “In 2017 we're inviting people to fundraise and join us for an outback adventure in the Northern Territory.”
