Bogan Gate CWA held their annual Christmas party at the Bogan Gate Hotel and our President Marion McIntyre welcomed 15 members to the most enjoyable afternoon with Marion and Ros Edwards organising some very thought provoking games for us.

The highlight of the afternoon and a very big surprise for one our members, Margaret O’Connell, as she was presented with her Long Service Bar for 20 years of membership by our President Marion.
Marion announced that ‘Bogan Gate CWA is very proud to make this presentation to Margaret for her Long Service Award for 20 years of membership.
Margaret is a lovely lady and a long term, valued member of the Bogan Gate CWA who brings humour to our meetings.
She is a quiet achiever, and a very willing worker for branch functions.
Margaret has represented our branch at State Conferences, in particular the 75th Anniversary conference in Sydney and last year at Cowra.
She has also been our branch representative at Oxley Group meetings. Many thanks from Bogan Gate branch Margaret, for your many years of service.’
After the presentation Margaret was congratulated by her fellow members.
Everyone then enjoyed the delicious Luncheon provided by the ladies of the Hotel.
Before closing Marion reminded us about our diabetes morning tea which will be held at the Bogan Gate Hall on Wednesday 8th February 2017 at 10 am with Dr Madhuri Velagala from Dubbo as our guest speaker.
We decided that this was a great way to spend time before Christmas with friends and all relax and enjoy each other’s company.
Marion then wished us all a happy and safe Christmas.
