Many keen young people with their cars and utes were lined up like taxis before 7am on the Friday morning ready to do their deliveries.
The many stages of the operation worked like clockwork as did the countless volunteers and people donating their time, their goods and their money. A big thank you goes to all those people.
More than 480 people enjoyed some little Christmas joy from the hampers being delivered to them.
Vinnies wish to thank again all those generous people who supported the hampers. The students and staff of the schools were right into it again and were so generous.
Bernardi’s Supermarket were again very supportive and remarkably generous.
Each hamper contained lots of food and drink and some little goodies. There was Christmas cake and puddings galore and each one received at least one tin of the real leg ham.
The school children made beautiful Christmas cards for each hamper and inside each card were vouchers for fresh fruit and veggies as well as vouchers for a cooked chicken.
Many other organisations helped with the number of people they would like to deliver hampers to.
Vinnies gathered those hampers together as well and they were delivered by organisations such as Centacare.
The Salvation Army were in charge of the distribution of toys for the children, they did a fantastic job too.
