The AGM starts at 6pm in the Long Tan Room at the Forbes Services Memorial Club, and the committee is seeking a secretary as it prepares for a spectacular 2017 festival.
President Margot Jolly said this year’s festival day – a day of music, performance and creative arts culminating in the lantern parade – would be brought forward to Saturday, September 30.
Pre-daylight saving, the lantern parade will be able to start earlier. The beautiful brolgas everyone admired last year are to return.
There will be a slightly different format to this year’s festival, with the dinner likely to be held earlier.
Mrs Jolly invited people who have ideas and want to know how they can become part of the festival to come along to the AGM.
“We will talk about how the process works and how we might be able to assist you to make those ideas come alive,” she said.
