The Wellness Hub is a partnership between Forbes High School and local services to support students and families' wellbeing.
The school currently offers 16 services and professional support programs delivered by eight community service providers. It also connects students to the school Youth worker, Counsellor, Aboriginal Education Officers and Chaplain.
"It's a locally developed solution to the complex issues facing our school,” principal Charles Dwyer said.
School captain Nic Mulligan described the hub as “a faculty at school for your wellbeing”.
“Just as you would go to the English or Maths faculty to discuss issues you have in those subjects with teachers, the Wellness Hub is where students go to discuss issues they are having related to their physical and emotional wellbeing,” he said.
The hub’s official opening is on Wednesday 1 March, 12pm - 1pm at the high school. Community members are encouraged to come and find out more.
