The NSW Barefoot Water Ski Club rallied three super coaches to mentor keen barefooters of ages ranging between five and 50. The three-day workshop involved beginners starting on a boom, progressing to a short rope and then to behind the boat.
Organiser Jim Cronin said it was an opportunity for all ages to experience coaching from the best in barefoot skiing.
“Everyone has got a lot out of it, from the beginners to the guys doing more advanced stuff,” he said.
This weekend will bring 25-35 serious barefooters from juniors to veterans competing at the Lake Forbes aquatic area.
The tournament starts at 7.30am on Saturday, Feb 25.
Demonstrations and tricks by Pete O’Neill and his team will be at 11:30am & 3:30pm. Current Australian Trick Champion Brendan Paige, ranked second in Australia and seventh in the world, will be among them.
