Our March Council meeting was held yesterday and I will report more in next week’s column. One of the agenda items to be discussed was the Forbes Community Plan 2027. This new plan will be on public exhibition. We encouraged community feedback as it is your plan. I would like to make a special mention and thank all of the volunteers who took part in Clean Up Australia Day recently. We had the largest number of volunteers participate in a number of years, as well as a great turn out from schools. Congratulations to all .
Youth Week is coming up. Youth Week Awards Night will be April 4 at the Forbes Town Hall. Nominations for the awards of Youth Citizenship, Sports Volunteer, Education and Brighter Future are open until 5pm March 22. For nomination visit www.forbes.nsw.gov.au or collect a nomination form from Council’s Administration Office. Tomorrow is going to be a big day for Forbes. The Forbes Rodeo is on at the Forbes Showground and gates open from 10am. The President's Lunch is also on with 900 guests expected to attend. I hope you all have a good weekend.
