Batting first, Gunns were 9/109 after their allocated 26 overs in the game at Northparkes Oval.
Corey McDean played a series of high class attacking strokes on his way to top score with 33 runs – including five boundaries - before Mitch Wright produced a fine delivery to dismiss Corey.
Parkes Red’s Hudson Hawke claimed 2/8 off four overs and the hosts executed three smart run-outs.
A direct hit to the stumps took out key Forbes player Luke McDean (11). Forbes’ runs were added by Tom Hopkins (17n/o) and Sam Nixon (15 n/o).
In reply the Reds lost wickets at regular intervals before Russell Bicket hit out to top score with 25 runs.
Nick Mackenzie (20 n.o), Brad Burrell (13) and Josh Duffy (11) kept cool heads as some keen Forbes bowling kept Gunns Mensland in the game with Luke McDean putting in a top spell to take 3/12 off 4 overs.
Other top Forbes bowling performances came from Sam Nixon 1/3 off two overs; Cameron Smith 1/6 off 2.5 overs; and Callum Ward 1/5 off two overs.
Eventually the youngest player in the Reds team, Hunter Hawke, showed top composure under pressure to hit the winning runs for the Reds, much to the delight of his team mates.
Parkes was 9/114 with just three balls remaining at the end of their innings.
The game has been described as an exceptional game of cricket between two evenly matched teams.
