Sunday morning bowls: By Ron Goodger.
Sunday morning saw 24 bowlers turn out in good but fairly humid conditions. The greens were a little heavy after all the rain but the good bowlers handled it fairly well. The good bowlers with resting touchers were John Lasker and Pat Hodson. The winners for the morning were Paul Baker and Clive Herbert who defeated Des Shead and Kerry Smith. The runners up were John Cutler and John Bentick who were defeated by Dunstan and Pete Brogan. In the other games Byron Gale and Allan Hilder defeated Pat Hodson and Fred Vogelsang. John Lasker and Peter Corliss defeated Brian Joliffe and John Kennedy. Pam Stevens and Don Hodson defeated Daniel Tisdell and Rod Howarth. Lesley Dunstan and Tony Bratton defeated John Ashcroft and Barry Anderson. After the bowls the snacks were greatly appreciated and rapidly devoured. Thanks to the members who prepared and organised this treat.
The monthly Bakehouse Voucher was won by Pete Brogan with a score of forty nine, closely followed by Barry Anderson on a score of 48. Please support the Bakehouse our regular sponsor.

Easter is only a couple of weeks away. We have many nominations, one of the biggest numbers in recent history. Volunteer helpers well be required to see that everything flows smoothly. See Norm Cook or Peter Corliss for a job if you can help.
An Irish blessing: As you slide down the banister of life, may the splinters never point the wrong way.
Just another great Irish Day in green on the greens.
Keep a look out for our Pink Day and Big Cuppa on 17th May.
