Firstly, Nathan Roach beat Brodie Acret 3 love then Ellie Cowhan lost to Louise Webb love 3. Harrison Toole and Blake Maslin decided longer was better, they played five sets. Harry won the 5th 15–7.
Harry’s dad and Captain Neil ran well but fell to Wayne 8–15, 10–15, 7–15, so Tooles lost 12 points to 16.
Court two Captains, Danny and Brendon supplied a tough match. Danny lost set one 10–15 then found form winning, 15–11, 15–7 and 15–12.
After that, Alex Bayley defeated Will Wallace love 3 followed by a no game then Ben Godden beat Alister Carlisle 3 love. D Bs won 17 to 9.
Court three teams, Acrets against Dwyers produced four, three set matches and a 14 all draw.
Christine Davies lost to Graham Coombs 7–15, 12–15, 11–15 but Ethan Stewart beat sub Alister Carlisle 3 love.
Cameron Toole lost to Conner Greenhalgh love 3 then team Ace Regan beat sub Graham Coombs 3 – 0.
Thursday night on Court one Dempseys beat Acrets 26 points to 23. Will Dawson lost to Sophie Higgins 2 – 5 as did Deb Bryant to Pete Thompson despite her taking sets one and two 15–10.
Sam Hornery played Jono Cannon who lost in descending order 18–16, 15–8 and 15–5. Jason Davenport, then Isabelle Cowhan copied Sam’s effort defeating Scott Webb and Steve Allegri 3 love.
Tim Coombs lost though to Brett Thomas 0 – 3. And very last roosters off the perch were Captains Garry and Regan.
Garry was unlucky to lose set one 14–16 then the next two 9–15, 11–15. By the way, could someone please tell Garry that all chooks are cooked by 5.45, that’s pm not $0.00, he’ll understand.
Court two had Kings v Dawes with two forfeits. Pete Cowhan lost love 3 to Chris McQuie who’s having a cracker comp and Graham Coombs lost to Mark Webb 1 – 3.
Chris Allegri lost also to young Blair Thomas who played match of the week 15–2, 10–15, 15–7, 15–17, 12–15.
Then Dan Bayley won against Dennis Haynes 3 – 0. Richard lost to Oli love 3 but his team won 25 to 22.
Court three saw Pipers suffer a 15 to 34 point loss to Doyles. Sub Blair Thomas lost to Kacey Nightingale love 3, as did sub Pete Thompson to John Betland.
Team Captain Darryn defeated Alex 3 love. But Harry Callaghan then Nikki McCaig lost 0 – 3 to Brendon Allegri and Ben Dawson respectively.
Jake Shaw was defeated by Todd Callaghan 1 – 4 after which Dan Rhuman felt eventual defeat also, in a big match against Daffyd Thomas 11–15, 15–10, 15–13, 8–15 and finally, 14–16.
