Three railway workers are on track to have a starter for the inaugural $50,000 Picnic Championship following an impressive win by Security Code in the Fabstock-McClintock Group Bedgerabong Picnic Cup on Saturday.

Wayne Casey from Nyngan and father and son Ray Riley (Gilgandra) and Gavin Riley (Dubbo) were amongst the big crowd at the picturesque Bedgerabong racecourse to see south coast jockey Maddison Wright ride an outstanding race on the Rodney Robb, Nyngan trained Security Code.
Positioned fifth behind the leading pack, Security Code ($1.80 to $1.70 favourite), was eased around heels turning for home then raced clear to win the 1400 metres Cup in track record time, by almost two lengths from Black Fusion (Samara Johnson, $4.40 to $3) and Zaphod (Daniel Stanley, $7).
Following wins at Tottenham,Bourke and Bedgerabong,Security Code is now well placed on the pointscore ladder to qualify for the Picnic Championship Final at the Dubbo Cup TAB meeting in September.
Rodney Robb and Maddison Wright also combined to win the Class 3 Handicap (1100 metres) with Northern Myth ($4.40 to $2.30 favourite) which escaped a pocket to dash clear and win by three lengths from Little Miss Tilly (Michael Gray, $17 to $13) and Living Fire (Ricky Blewitt, $2.70).
Raced by a big syndicate from Tottenham,Northern Myth has won at Tottenham, Tullibigeal and Bedgerabong since joining the Robb stable after racing in the southern areas.
Former jockey Robert Anderson returned to Bedgerabong as a trainer at Cootamundra and with To A Degree (Samara Johnson, $2.20 fav.) won the Clearview Bracelet ( 800 metres ) in track record time from Friendsinlowplaces (Shannon Fogg, $8) and Rocksham (Ashley Boyd, $2.60).
Trained at Canberra by Darryl Rolfe, Yangon ($3) ,first leg of a double for Samara Johnson,raced wide then held on to win the Maiden Plate (1100 metres) from Petulance (Kath Bell-Pitomac, $7) and She's A Joka (Daniel Stanley, $2.50 fav.)
Very consistent at the Picnics,the George Wright Parkes trained Jonairley ( Ricky Blewitt, $2.30) made it 4 wins and 2 seconds from 8 starts when leading most of the way to win the Kevin Miller Whitty Lennon & Co-H E Silos Class B Handicap (800 metres) from Miss Sakkara (Maddison Wright, $3.50) and All Rounder (Ashley Boyd, $3.50).
Narromine based jockey Ricky Blewitt completed a double when the Neil Smart,Cowra trained Matt Maneuver ($3.80) led throughout to defeat Irish Spy (Katelyn Jenkinson, $15) and Invincible Halo (Maddison Wright, $3.50 to $2.80) in the Class B Handicap (1400 metres).
