To keep with the alignment forged with the NSW Business Chamber in 2016, the Chamber has added some new categories for the 2017 event.
The first of these is Excellence in Social Enterprise, which recognises businesses that have been established to further a social purpose in a financially sustainable way. These businesses are revenue generating and can be ‘not for profit’ and ‘for profit’. This award will enable a lot of hard working not for profit organisations to be involved this year.
The other new category is Start Up Superstar. This award recognises a business that has been operating for less than two years that delivers a product/service/idea/invention with credible potential.
Categories that remain the same from last year are Excellence in Innovation, Excellence in Small Business (under 20 employees), Excellence in Business (employing more than 20 employees), Employer of Choice, Apprentice or Trainee of the Year, Employee of the Year, Young Entrepreneur (Age 18-35), Business Leader of the Year, and Business of the Year. The People’s Choice, Tradie of the Year and Most Popular Business also remain as categories for 2017.
If you would like information on what category your business falls into, please do not hesitate to contact either Fiona Ferguson, Forbes Business Chamber on 0407 380 936 or Cheryl Newsom, Media Liaison 0411 211 065.
