Forbes Netball News

Help is needed: Saturday competition coaches, and the NetSetGo coaches, plus any parents who would be able to help on the day. The more helpers volunteering means more fun for everyone. Help is needed in the office and canteen every Saturday.
Teams that are rostered onto court 4 for this week, are asked to please help in those areas. Court 4 is in front of the office and canteen, and the game can be seen from those areas. Thank you to the volunteers who have indicated they will help in the timeslot, while their children are playing.

The Forbes Netball Saturday competition is now in full swing, but there is still room for new players, both boys and girls, to join in all age groups, from NetSetGo to Divisions 1, 2 and 3. Friday Netball will continue to be held each week, from 5pm til 6pm, for younger players, and 6pm til 7pm for the teenage players. Friday netball is free to all players, both boys and girls, where players will practice their skills and also play games.

The Blayney carnival was cancelled last week, due to lack of nominations, and instead a games and training day will be held this Sunday in Forbes, starting at 10am, for players turing 10/11 years, and the representative teams.

Names of players for the 10/11 years teams will be taken on Saturday. More information will be given on Saturday, after the day has been discussed at the monthly meeting, held last night (Thursday).

The next carnival for all teams from 10/11 years to 17 reps will be at Dubbo on Sunday May 28. Names for players turing 10/11 years who would like to play at Dubbo will be taken this Saturday. A bus will be running for players, and any parents who would like to travel on the bus provided. The Parkes carnival is on Sunday June 4, and it is hoped that two teams of 10/11 years will be available to play in the carnival. Please put names down this Saturday, for Parkes, so the committee can decide if two teams can be entered.
