The success of the Pro-Am was built upon the support of many sponsors, including Forbes Shire, Forbes Machinery Centre, Forbes Livestock Agency, Croplands, Walkers Ag-n-Vet, Jemalong Irrigation Ltd, Lachlan Commodities, Mid-pro Engineering, BWR Accountants, John Davis Mazda and others. And behind the scenes there were untiring efforts by club members (notably Andrew Dukes) and the Course Supervisor Jack Clarke and his team. A big thank you to all of them.
Prizes including Scratch points, Stableford points and NTP’s. The main winners were: Ladies Stableford, A Tilley 43 points. Men’s C-grade Stableford winner, R Scott (Fbs) 42. Men’s B-grade Stableford winner, G Newport (Fbs) 40. Men’s A-grade Stableford winner, R Nixon 42.
Many found the course a challenge. Of particular interest was the performance of many of the best Juniors from around NSW. Amber Tilley (Dubbo) did extremely well in the Ladies, while Ben Mackay (Bathurst) and James Dickinson (Catalina) were the best Junior scratch scores, with Forbes own Cameron McMillan the best Junior on handicap.
