The group conducted a hot cross bun drive, fundraising barbeque at Bunnings and monster garden raffle to raise more than $1300, which they proudly presented to CanAssist representatives on Monday afternoon.
John Schrader, CanAssist President, said that Forbes CanAssist was very grateful for the donation and that the funds would go a long way in assisting local cancer patients and their families.
Rachel Wythes choreographed the group’s dance and their performance delighted family and friends.
Ruby Markwort and Jett Peckham were the perfect flower girl and page boy as they led the debs for the presentation ceremony to Kimberley Jackson announced by MC, Joe Doyle.
Kaitlyn and Janssen spoke on behalf of the group, thanking those who helped to make the night a success.
They also explained the work that Forbes CanAssist does, and the support that the local branch provides to cancer patients and their families.
Last year Forbes Can Assist provided $85,000 of financial support to help cancer patients with the costs associated with their treatment.
Can Assist Treasurer, Maureen Field, is expecting that Forbes Can Assist will provide some $90,000 in support for 2017.
