Cooler days, colder nights, please keep warm and well.
Have you had your flu shot for this year? If you are feeling cold, put another layer of clothing on and crank up your heating system.
Hope you keep well this winter.
Our first birthday wish goes to Marko’s Mum’s Shannon and Bruce Almighty’s Grace on 1st June. Lynwood’s Viliga celebrates on June 2nd.
On the 5th June, Star Gazer and Marko’s TJay’s CJay will be blowing out another candle on their cakes. Happy birthday everyone, have a great day.
Donations are always needed to stock our racks, especially mens wear. We still need winter clothing for women, girls and boys and babies.
Your donations can be left at the Op-Shop during business hours. Please do not leave any items while we are closed. Thanks.
Also remember that our pick-up service, each Thursday morning, is for picking up furniture only.
Please let the ladies know if items are large or heavy. To avail yourselves of this service please call the Op-Shop, 6851 4028.
We need some gardening goods for out annual gardening parcel.
These goods are needed by the end of June. Thanks.
Our raffles at the moment are the $200 worth of fuel, from Nicholson’s Petroleum, which will be drawn on the 30th June. We also have a Winter Warmth parcel, this will be drawn on August 28.
We had 17 players at our bingo on Monday, 22nd May. The first hand went to a visitor, the lucky door prize went to Yvonne O’Neil, Fay Dwyer won the night’s raffle and Lithgow Molly won both special hands.
Our thanks go to the following for their donations and help on the night. The Forbes Services Memorial Club, Lithgow Molly, Marko’s Mum, GLGD, Fordy’s Rene, Felix, Mushroom, Nygarie and Kay. Thanks everyone, we appreciate all the help that we get.
Every Saturday we hold a charity cash bingo, this starts at 2pm at the Forbes Services Memorial Club. Everyone welcome.
Our thought for the week comes from Benjamin Franklin.
“Dost thou love life, then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made off.”
Until next time, keep smiling.
Gay Lady’s Granddaughter.
