The 23rd annual carnival held from Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 June will see schools from Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia, Northern Territory and around New South Wales travel to Forbes.
Approximately 200 girls will take part in the 2.5 day competition, where the 17 Marist teams will contest the Australian Marist Netball Championship trophy.
Twelve girls will also be selected from the competition to make up the Australian Marist team.
Another twelve will be chosen as the highly commended team.
Red Bend Catholic College’s Marist Team coach, Rebbecca Charlesworth, said her team had been preparing to host their first Marist Netball Cup since 2004.
“We have been training really hard twice a week.
“We played in the local Forbes competition and the girls have developed their skills really well and should do really well,” she said.
Spectators are invited to watch the first two days of the competition, held at Forbes Netball Courts.
