The Forbes Horticultural Society and Garden Club has been on the move again, this time to West Wyalong, where we visited several beautiful gardens including the president of the club, where we had the ever most needed morning cuppa.

The gardens at Wyalong are well manicured with lovely roses and chrysanthemums, one of the gardeners is over 90 and was so proud of her garden with again lots of roses, lovely.
We visited the mulch centre and found lots of pots and a beautiful garden with many features to highlight in your own garden.
One of their gardeners was recently highlighted in the better homes and gardens so our gardeners were very keen to see her patch.
I was not able to visit West Wyalong and have relied on members to give me their impressions for this I am very grateful, as it keeps the notes flowing along, thankyou.
Our club has lost two of our stalwarts in recent months, Jean Macintosh, who was one of our Patrons, and a very good member Clare Shanahan.
We offer our sincere sympathy to their families, both ladies will be sorely missed from our club. Vale ladies.
Coming up is our next meeting on the 27th June at 1.30 pm and the venue has changed.
We are now going to the CWA, as I felt that it could be too cold in my driveway, but I hope that the members who are present will come and view my garden after the meeting.
In September we again will have our travelling shoes on and visit Rydal for the daffodil festival, the coach will leave the Town Hall at 7.00am sharp.
The cost will include, travel, garden entry fees, barbecue lunch, tea /coffee/cakes, and will be $70.00.
We need to know numbers at our next meeting, so let Tuppy know either at the meeting or give her a ring, 68521169, but the money does not have to be paid until the July meeting.
We ask that you wear your badges on this day please, if you have one.
Now if you have not paid your fees as yet, I am giving you a gentle reminder.
They can be paid at the next meeting at the CWA club on June 27, please note the change of venue, and it is heated.
That’s it for now,
Good gardening.
