The team came 17th overall in the third division of competition with three wins and a draw over the three days.
Coach Kristin Read said the team had been training hard since February, playing in the local Wednesday night competition.
“They did really well,” she said.
“The conditions were not great – the first day was really wet and slippery.
“Even the games they didn’t win, they gave really good effort.”
This is the 49th year of the NNSW State Championships.
Sixty nine associations across NSW will be represented by 103 teams in six divisions, from Open Championships, and division 2, 21U, and three divisions of 17U years. Each match will be 13 minute halves.
The team has played at four regional training carnivals this year being Orange, Dubbo, Cowra and also our own Forbes carnival where the 17's won their division which was a great effort from the whole team.
The Forbes Netball Association representative 17U team consists of 10 players who are:
(C) Alyssa Godden, (VC) Jessica Priest, Sophie Cowan, Hannah Cudaj, Claire Maslin, Sarah O'Neil, Kate Hanley, Pypah Montgomery, Tanika Hill, Brooke Toole.

Thank you to Tiff Nicholson, who has taken on the role of Secretary of the Forbes Netball Association. Tiff was elected at the FNA monthly meeting last Thursday night.
The FNA Saturday competition will play the last round before the holidays this weekend, and then go into a short recess over the school holidays.
There will be no Saturday competition on Saturday 31 June and no Friday Netball on June 30.
The Forbes Netball Association will be represented by three teams aged 12 years, 13 years and 15 years at the Netball NSW State Age Championships at Campbelltown over the first weekend in the school holidays.
11s carnival team
All dresses that were borrowed by players to play in the 11s carnival team during the carnivals, must return any dresses that are still outstanding, by this Saturday.
Could the bag of dresses from the Parkes carnival, please also be returned by this Saturday. Thank you.
Friday Netball
Friday Netball will continue this Friday from 5pm til 6pm for any players wanting to join in the fun of Friday netball.
The session is free to all participants, and players do not have to be registered to pay Friday Netball.
Canteen duty and ordering
Thank you to all the parents who are doing the canteen duty during Saturday competition.
Two parents per team are asked to volunteer, when the team name is put down for duty.
The canteen is the biggest fundraiser the FNA has, and the profits help to keep the fees down.
Everyone is reminded that orders and payments for hot chips must be in at the canteen by the half time break of the Divison 2 and 3 games.
This makes the pack up quicker for those parents who have givien up their time to help serve in the canteen.
Thank you to the coaches of the teams in division 2 and 3, who are organising the parents duty.
Draw for Saturday June
