Loretta Girl is still in hospital, we hear she is doing a lot better. We hope she will not be in too long. We miss you, get better soon and keep warm. Our first birthday this week is sent to Frog Puddles’ Su on 20th July. On July 24th we have Penton’s Brother and Scan Rabbit turning another year older. Happy birthday to all Sunshiners celebrating this week. If I have not put you in our birthday list it is because you are unfinancial. For every enrolment we need your name, pen-name, address, day and month of your birthday, plus 20 cents per person, per year enrolling.
Happy birthday everyone.
We are in need of winter clothing, all sorts for men, ladies, girls, boys and babies. We need shirts, sloppy joes, jumpers, cardigans, jackets, pants, trackpants, socks and tops. We also could use some blankets and doonas. Thanks.
We are also looking for donations towards our Christmas stocking. We would like crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen, bedding, towels, children’s books, colouring books, pencils, paint. Toys, clothing, pet items, garden ware, vases, tinsel, Christmas decorations etc. Please leave at the Op-Shop during business hours. Please include your name or pen-name for acknowledgement.
Our new raffle is a Father’s Day package, this will be drawn on August 25. The gardening parcel will be drawn on September 8. Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased from the Op-Shop during business hours.
We had 19 players at our bingo on Mon 10th July. Tracey won the first hand, Just Bec won the lucky door prize and Fay Picker. Thanks go to the Forbes Services Memorial Club, Lithgow Molly, Fordy’s Rene, GLGD, Marko’s Mum, Dry Andrew’s Daughter, Nygarie, Mushroom, Felix and Just Bec for your help and donations on the night.
Our next bingo night will be on Monday 24th July at 7pm in the Services Club auditorium. Everyone is welcome to come along and join us for a fun evening. The Eugowra Friends of the Sunshine Club hold their bingo on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. The day after our night bingo. This is held at the Eugowra Bowling Club at 1pm. Everyone welcome.
Our thought for the week comes from Barbara Johanson.
‘Pain in inevitable for all of us, but misery is optional.’ Until next week, keep smiling. Gay Lady’s Granddaughter.
