Ann Mackay, Sandra Priest and Jan Waugh were playing Lesley Dunstan, Jill Taylor and Hazel Prince and with some great play by Hazel as skip up against a more experienced Jan Waugh they all finished up a draw.
Then it was another toss up and Jan’s team came out the winner by three shots 17-14. A great game to watch Pat Hodson Annette Tisdell and Leisa Burton were trailing the whole game against Alison Cutcliffe, Pam Stevens and Mary Everson but on the last few ends Leisa’s team were the winners 17-13.
The winning rink for the day went to Leisa’s team and the lucky meat tray winner was Pat Hodson who had a lucky day all round!
The final of the Major Triples will be played on the July 26 between Leisa’s Team and Jan’s Team.
Presidents Day is tomorrow with ladies asked to help set up tables at 2pm today and don/t forget to bring a slice and something for the trading table.
We will be having morning tea at 9.30am and play begins 10am. We are expecting bowlers from other clubs and look forward to a great day.
Leisa Burton spoke on her wonderful experience playing at the Australian Open with top players from around Australia. She qualified in most of her games and was an unforgettable time for her.
There will be no social games tomorrow but will commence again on Wednesday, July 26.

Croquet
This week we are sending best wishes for a complete recovery to one of our major stalwarts in Alec Todd.
We hate to see any of our members not well enough to join us at Croquet, so hurry and get those tests done and get back to us. We all miss you and Lorraine. Thanks to John and other members for stepping up to help Libby set up.
Another one out of action is our Secretary Anne. Hope you are mended soon Anne.
Our good news is that Dorothea has passed her medical and driving test, so well done Dorothea.
Hopefully it won’t be long till you have a good set of wheels to allow you to travel in warmth and comfort again, mind you Motorised scooters are wonderful things for all seniors, but not when you are travelling on these cold winter mornings.
