Browne, 41, of York Street, Forbes was convicted of the offence, fined $700 and disqualified from driving for 6 months after admitting to consuming 12 drinks before being stopped by police.
About 12am on Sunday, April 6 police were patrolling Forbes and observed a vehicle travelling along Wambat Street.
The vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Wambat and Regent Street and the driver, Browne, asked to take part in a random breath test.
The roadside test was positive and a breath analysis at the police station returned a reading of 0.119.
Browne told police he had consumed 12 beers with his first at 7pm that night.
He was completely co-operative with police and showed remorse for his actions.
