Members and guests attended to see President Ray Judge re inducted for his second term in the top job.
He will be ably assisted by Treasurer Ian Gilchrist and Secretary Gayle Williams. Other members of the board are 1st VP Graham Williams, 2nd VP Robyn Seberry, 1yr Directors Wendy Brown and Chris Roylance, 2 yr Directors Peter Bright and Bill Dolle, Membership Chair Elaine Bright, Lion Tamer Blair Sauer.
Stirrers Spoon went to Neil Lambert, a “blank cheque” to the Treasurer and badges to the Secretary and Lion Tamer.
On a more serious note, Ray presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Peter Bright for his work with the Flood Relief Centre and State Youth of the Year Final and to Neil Lambert for his work with the State Youth of the Year Final.
During the year Lions conducted regular Car Boot Sales, Bunnings BBQs, Mint and Christmas Cake sales. We are also still operating the Drum Muster program. The Club also played host to the State Finals of the Youth of the Year Competition. After the severe flooding last year Lions were quick to respond with a Relief Office in the HACC centre.
He then outlined his plans for the Club in 2017-18 which include a rejuvenation of the small park near Jeffery Toyota.
