A police spokesperson said the truck was carrying about 10 cattle and 400 sheep when the crash occurred –police are still investigating the circumstances.
The driver was taken to hospital with non-critical injuries. Highway traffic was reduced to one lane during the afternoon.
Police are also investigating malicious damage that occurred in Macdonnell Street on Tuesday.

In Parkes, a 46-year-old woman sustained extensive burns in a house fire in the early hours of Tuesday morning. She was airlifted to Concord Hospital.
Fire fighters extinguished the blaze but the house was destroyed and two dogs were killed. Police are investigating but do not believe the fire is suspicious.
