After a hard-fought but strong win over Westside last weekend, the Cowboys are back at Kennard Park this weekend to take on the Narromine Jets.
The Jets are also in the finals race, currently sitting seventh, while the Cowboys are one point behind the fifth-placed Macquarie Raiders.
“We know what to expect but being at home should be to our advantage and I think we can roll them,” Ryan said of this weekend’s game after defeating Westside.
“Our most crucial game will be when we verse Macquarie in three weeks time which will determine the top five for the year.”
The sides met earlier this year in round four, with the Cowboys winning that match 34-28 in what was an indication of Narromine starting to discover some mid-year form.
Ryan is keen on his side tightening up its defence, with the winless Rabbitohs piling on 36 points last round only to go down by 14.
“I wasn’t really worried when Westside hit the lead, I knew we always had the fitness to beat them but just the attitude...” Ryan said.
“To let a team score 36 points is just pretty disgraceful to be honest, especially considering we were nearly at full strength.”
Ryan was full of praise for Lewis Stanley after last weekend’s win, the versatile ball-player had a stellar match in his return from injury.
