Another couple of months before it starts to warm up. Still a lot of colds, coughs and sniffles around, so keep warm and dry and try to keep healthy. Good luck.
Our birthdays this week start with Brown Eyed David who celebrates on August 16th. On August 17 we have Marko’s Mum’s Meagan and Happy Smile’s Taylor blowing out another candle on their cakes!
On 19th August, Princess Isla will be partying with her family and friends.
On 20th August Sharp Shooters’ Eric is turning another year older. On August 21st Marko’s Mum and Reefton Lad are hoping to receive lots of presents from family and friends.
We hope that everyone has a great birthday.
Just a cash donation this week. This has come to us from Crowe Howarth. Thank you very much.
We still need winter clothing for men, women, girls, boys and babies. We also need donations for the Big Christmas stocking, plus donations towards the Christmas groceries hamper.
All donations can be left at the Op-Shop during business hours. Thanks.
At present, we have our Father’s Day raffle to be drawn 25th August and the gardening package, this will be drawn 8th Sept.
All tickets are $1 and can be purchased from the Op-Shop during business hours. So get your tickets before it’s too late.
Our next Monday night bingo will be on 28th August at 7pm in the Auditorium of the Forbes Services Memorial Club. All welcome. The dates in September are 11th and 25th at 7pm at the Services Club.
Our weekly cash bingo is held each Saturday at 2pm. This is also at the Services Club. The more players, the larger the cash prizes. Everyone welcome to attend and join us.
The Eugowra Friends of the Sunshine Club hold a bingo afternoon the second and fourth Tuesday at 1pm at the Eugowra Bowling Club.
Next is on Tuesday 22nd August. Everyone is welcome to come and join us. A ‘cuppa’ is served at half time. A plate or pick-a-box prize would be most welcome.
Our thought for the week comes from Lily Tomlin.
‘Why is it when we talk to God, we’re said to be praying – but when God talks to us, we’re schizophrenic.’
Until next week, keep smiling.
Gay Lady’s Granddaughter.
