The results of the Forbes S.S.A.A. sporting shooters sporting clay's 75 target handicap five stand shoot on Saturday 12th August and the 100 target off the gun field shoot, for the Tim Lynch Memorial Shield on Sunday 13th August.
There were nine shooters in attendance for the 75 target handicap five stand shoot. The shooters who attended came from Forbes, Caragabal and Goolongong. On Sunday 13 shooters attended the 100 target off the gun field shoot, for the Tim Lynch Memorial Shield those that attended came from Forbes and Caragabal.
Results of the 75 target five stand handicap shoot on Saturday were: First in A grade Phil Picker, 20-15-14 total 49 Hcp total 70; First in B grade; Stephen Cooper, ( Caragabal) 24-19-19 total 62 Caragabal 86;
Second in B grade; Anthony Bratton, 12-21-15 total 48 Hcp total 78 on a coin toss from Norm Brook 13-20-18 total 51 Hcp total 78.
The other B grade scores were; Phil Cleal, 19-13-15 total 47 Hcp total 74; Paul Baker, 14-13-15 total 42 Hcp total 69. First in C grade; Graham Everest, 10-6-11 total 27 Hcp total 69 this was Graham's first try at clay target shooting. Second in C grade; Brian Neilsen, 9-13-4 total 26 Hcp total 68; Wayne Taylor (Goolongong) shot one round for a total of 15.
On Sunday 13th the Tim Lynch Memorial Shield shot for the results were; First in AA grade; Mathew Dent, 16-20-21-22 total 79;
First in A grade; Norm Brook, 10-14-19-14 total 57; First in B grade; Bruce Dent, 16-16019-13 total 64; Second in B grade; Graham West, 14-18-15-15 total 62.
The other B grade scores were; David Mitton, 12-15-16-16 total 59; Anthony Bratton, 10-12-11-16 total 49; Phil Cleal, 11-13-10-15 total 49; Doug Davis, 14-8-16-9 total 47;
First in C grade; Gary Spry, 14-16-19-16 total 65; Second in C grade; David Coleman 14-13-12-15 total 54; The other C grade scores were; Ben Smith, 13-14-10-10 total 47; Aaron Lee, 8-5-10-6 total 29; Garth Gault, (Caragabal) shot two rounds for a score of 9-15 total 24.
The next shoot for the Forbes S.S.A.A. sporting clay's will be a 75 target Handicap field shoot on Saturday 10th September 2017 starting at 1pm. (if too wet a 75 target Handicap five stand shoot will be held) at the Bedgerebong road range.

Any person wishing to obtain a long arm firearm licence can contact Wayne Facey on 0414524059; Norm Brook on 0458664541; Tony Bratton on (02) 68523349 to do a firearm safe shooting assessment course which is a requirement for a firearm licence application.
The next S.S.A.A. sporting shooters .22 cabilre and other rimfire rifle (.22 magnum or.17HMR) shoot will be held this Sunday 20th August 2017 starting at 10am. The next Wednesday shoot is on Wednesday the 6st September starting at 3pm at the Bedgerebong road range, turn right off the Bedgerebong road onto Dr. Young Drive. All target shooters are welcome to attend these shoots. Any person wishing to try rifle or shotgun shooting can attend any of these shoots to take part after filling out a P650 form at the club, Junior shooters must be 12 years or over.
