Swifts took a narrow two goal lead in the first quarter, with Magpies taking it back in the second quarter, with the score even at 12 all at half time.
Shyeka Griffiths for Swifts played an outstanding game for her team, as did Lauren Bate for Magpies. Both girls lead by example. They were supported by Emily Gordon and Emily Gartner for Swifts and Olivia Garland and Georgia Cole for Magpies.
Swifts had an outstanding third quarter, winning it 6-1, with the fourth quarter again even at four goals each. Swifts will now go straight to the Grand final, and Magpies will play Vixens in the final this weekend.
Division 3. Joeys 9 defeated Possums 6
Joeys have shown huge improvements in every area of their game, and caused an upset, when they defeated Possums for the first time in the semi final.
Joeys have been training consistently each week during the Saturday competition, and the results are now showing through with the improvement in all the players.
Joeys took an early lead in the first quarter winning it by four goals to two with the second quarter goals were locked at three each, giving Joeys a two goal lead. Joeys players Amelia Hodges, Isla Worland, and Katie Crouch played strong netball, with Claire Turner standing out for Possums.
Claire was supported by Belle McCarthy and Ruby Markwort. The third quarter had Joeys winning it 2-0, but Possums fought back in the fourth quarter, and narrowed the lead by scoring another goal.
