More than 25,000 visitors are expected to converge on the region for the 2018 Parkes Elvis Festival and with five months to go accommodation providers are already booked to capacity.
The festival is receiving unprecedented demand for alternative accommodation options and residents of surrounding towns are being called upon to consider home hosting.
Home owners are able to rent out their spare bed, room or whole house under the program and there is a waiting list for home hosting accommodation.
Ray White’s Home Hosting Manager, Gail Bartley, is urging home owners interested in hosting to register.
After Monday’s launch of the 2018 Elvis Festival program, there are nearly 200 people on the waiting list for home hosting.
This year, there’s a particularly high contingent of single travellers and Ms Bartley is seeking suitable accommodation for them.
Guests pay $80 per person per night for home hosting accommodation, home owners receive $62 of that.
Ray White’s policies ensure that all homes have necessary contents insurance and are inspected for cleanliness, suitability and comfort.
Ray White will work with home owners to match suitable tenants and payment will be credited to host accounts before Christmas.

The Parkes Elvis Festival launched on Monday and director Cathy Treasure said the festival would deliver in a ‘68 Comeback Special theme.
She’s promising more music, more dancing and more Elvis.
A king-size contingent of special guests and community members packed the function room at Hotel Gracelands for the official opening.
Among them were Australian rock icons, the Emmanuel brothers Phil and Tommy, making a special return to the town they grew up in for the occasion.
