After being rained out last year, organisers of the show are really excited to hold the event again and are hopeful that the weather will allow it to go ahead.
President of the organising committee, Ian ‘Bart’ Bartholomaeus, said the preparations for the event were progressing nicely with a good number of early entries for the display.
With more than 30 trophy categories on offer across cars, trucks and bikes, there is a large amount of expected interest with Bart anticipating 200 entrants.
Based on the amount of spectators in previous years, Bart expects to welcome between 2500 and 3000 people to the area to enjoy the motor show.
This year’s show will also include several boats on the lake, however unlike the 2015 show, there won’t be an exhibition by the jet boats.
As well as hosting a huge and varied exhibition of motor vehicles there will be fun for all the family.
There are several activities planned for the kids to enjoy which include face painting, temporary tattoos and jumping castles.
For the adults there is of course the motor vehicles, but there are also merchandising and memorabilia stalls.
Food and barbecue stalls will also be located around the show for those who get hungry.
There will also be a novelty tyre-changing competition open to anyone willing to get their hands a little bit dirty.
The SES will also be holding a demonstration of a car crash rescue.
If you want to enter your car, truck or bike into one of the trophy categories, you can register online or register on the day.
According to Bart, the Motor Show is draws a fair amount of interest from car clubs and enthusiasts around the state.
The registration fee is $10 for anyone registering online before September 29.
If you are unable to register online at that time, you can register your vehicle up to 10am on October 1 for a $15 entry fee.
Entry into the motor show as a spectator is a gold coin donation per person.
The profits of Forbes Motor Show get donated back into the community, with Friends of Forbes Hospital, Forbes North Public School P and C, Forbes Men’s Shed and Forbes Eisteddfod sharing in $2,500 from the 2015 show.
Gates open at 8am for those bringing in their vehicles to showcase, with the gates opening for the spectators at 10am.
The presentations of the awards will begin at 2pm and mark the end of the Motor Show for this year.
