Not a town to be idle for long, Trundle’s brand new event will be the show-stopping “Trundle’s Got Talent”, a much-needed fundraiser for Trundle Memorial Hall’s ever increasing insurance costs.
Member of the organising team, Helen Gray said we all know our small communities are facing all sorts of challenges.
“Upkeep of our buildings is one of those challenges,” Helen said.
“I believe the beautiful Hall is an important feature of the streetscape and identity of Trundle, a physical feature that people always relate to when talking about Trundle.”
Trundle’s Got Talent, is currently seeking entries from singers, jugglers, actors, yarn-spinners, magicians, dancers, comedians, musicians – if you have a talent, no matter how obscure, they want to see it.
Organisers have secured CentreState Sound and Lighting to make sure everyone performs their best.
“There have been a few entries so far it is shaping up to be a hotly contested competition. We are excited to have three Parkes Shire Council members on board to entertain us, their act is sure to be a highlight,” Helen said.
Another highlight of the evening will be the feast supplied by The Dish Catering Co.
“The Dish always delivers beautiful, delicious food. We also need to thank the Trundle Hotel for helping with the bar and donating a portion of their profits to the Hall,” Helen said.
Tickets are $75 per adult, $50 of which will go directly towards the hall’s insurance.
Children under 18 are free.
Tickets are on sale now from the Trundle Newsagency and Byrnes Clothing in Parkes.
Entry forms are available on the Trundle‘s Got Talent facebook page as well as from Trundle Newsagency.
