Punters at Forbes can enter a sweepstakes on The Everest, watch the big race on numerous on course TV screens and compete for great prizes for Fashions In The Field.
Action on the track includes six well supported TAB races with champion jockey Greg Ryan sure to have a big following.
Ryan's mounts include The Revenant trained by Luke Pepper from Canberra who at recent visits to the central west won three races at Grenfell and two at Mudgee.
Engaged in the Lachlan Readymix Maiden Handicap (1200 metres), The Revenant showed the first glimpse of form when a last start fourth in a big field at Moruya.
Rodeo fans, and there are plenty in Forbes, will take interest in the performance of Ghost Rider in the Forbes Caravan & Cabins Park Class 2 Handicap, 1400 metres.
Ghost Rider is trained by Todd Smart, a professional bull rider from Wagga Wagga, and owned by Jason Snedden a shearing contractor and also a former professional bull rider.
A winner at Parkes in August when ridden by Tiffany Jeffries, Ghost Rider with other jockeys aboard has since been placed at Gundagai and Canberra but has Jeffries back in the saddle at Forbes.
The Kylie Kennedy, Narromine trainer Miss Emily (Tony Cavallo) will be hard to beat after recent wins at Gilgandra, Mendooran and Come-By-Chance while expect a big improvement in this race from the Darren Hyde, Dubbo trained Handful Of Aces.
Local trainer Dennis Bush has enjoyed a successful run at Forbes, winning with the 11 year old Fettlers Boot at the 2016 Forbes spring meeting and leading in a winning double, Molasses and Da Grinch at the recent Forbes Cup meeting.
Representing the Bush stable tomorrow are Hu Hit Hu (Forbes Wholesale Trucks/Forbes Dental Surgery Benchmark 55 Handicap, 1100 metres) and Cranfield (Forbes Sport & Recreation Club Maiden Handicap (1200 metres) in which another local trainer Caitlin Cox has Bailey's Mistake engaged.
Forbes trainer Barry Molloy has his star galloper Lake Lugarno back in work after a string of wins last season but will rely on Golden Twist (Andrew Banks) at Forbes in the Achesons Home Timber & Hardware Benchmark 55 Handicap,1100 metres.
Golden Twist won at Louth in August and has since run third at Wellington behind Coroglen and Stato.
There are four last start winners - Security Code, Skygge, Ad Valeica and Royal Abbey – engaged in the 1600 metres Forbes Machinery/Shead & Nicholson Benchmark 59 Handicap with the Rodney Robb, Nyngan trained Security Code having recently won the $50,000 Picnic Championship final at Dubbo.
