A police spokesperson said a truck was overtaking a car travelling north from Forbes shortly after 7pm when the car moved into the right lane in front of the truck.
The car braked to turn into Ashburnham Road and was hit by the truck, police said drivers escaped serious injury.
The driver of the car was issued with infringement notices including fail to give way.
Emergency services were called to Daroobalgie on Saturday afternoon when a car caught alight. A Rural Fire Service spokesperson said the fire was contained to the vehicle.
