Six weeks out from the festival, local accommodation is booked out and 3455 weekend passes have been sold.
Now the organisers have announced even more artists will take the stage right here in Forbes on December 1 and 2.
Performing a live set, Home & Away and Underbelly actor, Mark Furze has come back from LA to join the Vanfest line up. Furze has always had a passion for music having two national tours around New Zealand and three hit albums previously.
Alt pop foursome, Tigertown, will perform their live set with plenty of experience with large crowds touring with Troye Sivan, St. Lucia, Panic! At The Disco and MS MR. Their single “Lonely Cities” had 10 million streams worldwide and was the seventh most played song on Triple J in 2016.
Yahtzel, part of the dynamic duo Carmada will DJ solo at Vanfest with fans being able to experience the sounds of the Indie-dance scene. With singles having over 13 million plays and a 26-stop Australasian tour under his belt, the skilled DJ is a big edition to the lineup.
Tasmanian-based producer, beat maker and underground hip-hop DJ Akouo is an in-demand remixer appearing on official releases by ZHU, SAFIA, Indian Summer and more. Akuouo, has climbed to number one on iTunes’ electronic albums chart.
The world has seen Luke Million give a caliber of work rarely seen in the electronic music industry. An obsession with bringing contagious, hip-gyrating electronic funk is only rivalled by his addiction to vintage synths and drums.
Discovery is Australia’s tribute show to the music and image of Daft Punk. Duo Damian Andres and Matt Campbell bring the experience of Daft Punk with a full catalogue of unique remixes, live DJ’ing, state of the art costumes and professional lighting.
Local DJs will also include Keefy and Ox.
The new additions will feature alongside Amy Shark, Carmada, Cosmos Midnight, Dean Lewis, Dune Rats, Manalion, MUTO, PLGRMS, San Cisco, Tash Sultana, Thundamentals and Wilsonn.
Returning for 2017, the East will once again be returning to the west, with Bondi Lifeguards hosting the VIP area for another year alongside the Budgy Smugglers who will bring their exciting concept the Hot Tub Club.
Guests can secure their own jacuzzi to enjoy the Vanfest beats which will include their own personal waiter to serve drinks and food, a pair of budgy smugglers/smugglettes, six VIP ‘Sitting Pretty’ passes -valid for both days - and complimentary towels.
The Bondi Lifeguards will be on hand to teach their surfing techniques on the mechanical surf board which will be exclusive to the VIP area.
Hot Tub Club tickets – which are limited - will be available for $1800 + bf which includes six VIP tickets for the entire weekend.
