Canadian hit-maker The Weeknd has announced an Australian stadium tour amid an ever-growing summer of live music down under. The Blinding Lights singer is set to fill stadiums in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in late 2023 as part of his global After Hours Til Dawn Tour. Supported by Mike Dean and Chxrry22, the tour follows the release of The Weeknd's critically-acclaimed album Dawn FM in January 2022. The singer teased the announcement to his Instagram followers with the Australian flag emoji on a tour photo. Abel Tesfaye, whose goes by stage name The Weeknd, is a UN World Food Programme Goodwill Ambassader and is contributing funds through tour tickets sales to the XO Humanitarian Fund. Australia's summer is filling up with big names in music including Taylor Swift, P!NK, The Jonas Brothers and Paul McCartney among the artists heading down under in late 2023 and early 2024. IN OTHER NEWS: Tickets to The Weeknd's Australian leg of the After Hours Til Dawn Tour go on sale to the general public on September 1 at 10am for Melbourne, 11am for Brisbane and 12pm for Sydney. A Live Nation pre-sale is being held on August 31. Pre-sales were available for Vodafone customers and Foxtel Rewards members. Following overwhelming demand during pre-sales, three extra shows have been added to the tour.
