It may have been an incredibly quiet week in Cowra Championship Bowls last week, but that’s not the case for last weekend nor the coming weekend. Wasn’t it great to enjoy some rain during the week and then have nice sunny days for bowls on the weekend? but it is getting noticeably colder.
On Saturday Noel and Mark Hubber had a decisive win over Mike Baldwin and Joe Burgin in the Final of the Men’s A Grade Pairs 21/12, whilst Tony Savage and Kevin Webb had a closely fought win over Dave McLoughlin and Dave Bohanna in the final of the Men’s C Grade Pairs 24/19. At the same time Tom Peadon, Steve Treasure, Rob Oliver and Rob Britt had a good win over Shane Lauritzen, Bob Morgan, Steve Sculthorpe and Shane Egan 25/22.
Sunday saw a very hard-fought Men’s B Grade Pairs final with Bob Morgan and Steve Sculthorpe eventually overcome the determined pair of Ken Porter and Brayden Chew 24/20. Whilst that match was on Noel and Sharen Hubber had a good win over Dave and Sharon Bohanna 26/5.
