Then on Sunday afternoon further great matches in the Open Pairs semi-finals, with Noel and Sharen Hubber defeating Russ Simpson and Joe Burgin 17/11, and Kak Smith and Leila Burns having a narrow win over Joan Bailey and Shane Egan 19/17.
Those matches were topped off with a remarkably interesting and extremely narrow win to Ian (Wal) Walker 150/144 over Brayden Chew in the long-awaited Consistency Singles Final. Congratulations to Wal on his first Club Championship event win and congratulations to all the weekends competing bowlers.
