A police spokesperson said the woman’s handbag was found outside the Cedar Crescent home. Offenders had broken in some time on Tuesday night.
While it did not appear anything was stolen, the spokesperson said the break-in was of concern to police and investigations continue.
Police have arrested a 33-year-old Forbes man who was wanted on outstanding warrants.
Police patrolling Powter Street on Wednesday evening recognised the man pulling out of a driveway on a motorbike.
Police allege the man took off from police into a paddock, crashing the bike into a fence. He attempted to flee police but was arrested.
Police are also investigating the theft of a blue and white children's quad bike and a swag from a shed in Dowling Street last weekend.
A police spokesperson said the quad bike has a wheel guard made of galvanised steel.
