For their July fundraiser, Men’s Shed president Norm Haley said a total of $1920 was collected from raffle ticket sales outside local supermarkets Woolworths and Bernardi’s.
“We’d like to thank the generous community of Forbes who are very supportive of our Men’s Shed.
“The new shed will provide us with a central location and a significantly larger working space,” Mr Haley said.
“We are ready to start building as soon as we get the DA.”
Bernardi’s Store Manager Selwyn Bale said local groups holding raffles help build the community spirit in Forbes.
