Our team of Lyall Strudwick, Graham West and Geoff Williams played well on the Saturday to win all three of their games, defeating two Parkes teams and the Belrose team, to take the lead for the day.
Sunday’s first game became a disaster for our boys but they improved as the day wore on and after a quick change of positions we had a runaway win. Results: Col Hayward’s team from Parkes took first place with five wins; second was Tom Fury’s Parkes team with four wins and 40 shots then our team with four wins and 31 shots. Followed by John Venteman’s Belrose team and Steve Frame’s Railway team.
Well done gents.
Jack attack: Normal Friday night bowls is on tonight but next Friday October 20 we will have a crack at Jack Attack! It is the 20:20 of bowls, fast paced and lots of fun. Jack Attack is a more social game and aimed to target generations X and Y, so invite some new players.
A and B Pairs: The A & B Pairs is making good progress. John Williams and Viv Russell played well to take a 29:16 victory from Rob Priest and Peter Mackay. The two Waynes, Moon and Burton, took a 22:11 result from Cliff Nelson and John Stringer. So now the final will be played between John Williams and Viv Russell verses Wayne Moon and Wayne Burton.
In the back draw we have John Baass and Don Craft playing Rob Priest and Peter Mackay. The winner of that match will play Ray Dunstan and Ron Thurlow in the back draw final.
Wednesday at One: Barry Shine, Eddie Gould and Brian Asimus defeated Peter Greenhalgh, John Gorton and Alf Davies in a close game. Denis Byrnes and Jim Maloy played well to defeat Kerry Dunstan and Cliff Nelson by a couple of shots. Fred Vogelsang and John Cutler claimed victory from Col Breaden and Trevor Currey. Welcome back Trevor.
Thursday arvo: A good roll up last Thursday saw 23 players including three visitors take to the greens.

Also on the notice board is a nomination sheet for the Men of League Bentick Trophy. The final will be played on Sunday December 24.
