Patiently ridden by Hawkesbury based apprentice Chelsea Ings, Quietly Confident ($18) ran home strongly from the tail of the big field to beat Magic Over The Bay (Robbie Dolan, $5).
Local trainer Wayne Collison had success when Dragon Bells (Clayton Gallagher, $18) burst through the pack to account for Te Ropa Lilly (Chelsea Ings, $101) in the Golden West Holden Maiden Plate, 1300 metres.
After eight placings the George Wright, Parkes trained Got Nothing broke through to win the Dubbo City Toyota Maiden Handicap, 1100 metres.
Challenged in the straight, Got Nothing (Chris Williams, $2.40 fav.) then cleared out to win by over three lengths from Special Strike (Andrew Banks, $26).
