Redfern tops sporting clays target shoot

The results of the Forbes S.S.A.A. sporting shooters sporting clay's 75 target handicap five stand shoot on Sunday November 12.

The weather was hot with a slight easterly breeze.

First in A grade; Laurie Redfern, (hcp A5) 25-22-23 total 70  hcp total 85; second; Phil Picker (hcp A7) 17-20-18 total 55 hcp total 76.

First in B grade; Anthony Bratton, (hcp B10) 20-19-15 total 54 hcp total 85; second Doug Davis (hcp B9) 19-16-20 total 55 hcp total 82.

The other B grade scores were; Garth Gault ( Caragabal hcp B8) 20-19-15 total 54 hcp total 78; Adrian Hodges, (hcp B8) 18-16-16 total 50 hcp total 74; Phil Cleal, (hcp B9) 12-15-16 total 43 hcp total 70.

First in C grade; Grant Neilsen (hcp C14) 21-14-10 total 45 hcp total 87; second in C grade; Brian Neilsen (hcp C14) 14-16-11 total 41 hcp total 83.

The other C grade scores were; Leigh Dridan (Condobolin hcp C11) 13-20-13 total 46  hcp total 79; David Coleman (hcp C14) 9-13-8 total 30 hcp total 72; Wayne Taylor (Goolongong hcp B9) shot two rounds only for the score of 17-20 total 37.

The next shoot for the sporting clay's will be a 75 target off the gun five stand shoot on Sunday December 10 starting at 1pm at the Bedgerebong road range. This will be their Christmas shoot.

The next .22 calibre and other rimfire rifle (.22 magnum or .17HMR) shoot will be held Sunday November 19 at 10am.

The next Wednesday shoot is on December 6 at 3pm at the Bedgerebong road range.

All target shooters are welcome to attend. Any person wishing to try rifle or shotgun shooting can take part after filling out a P650 form at the club.

Junior shooters must be 12 years or over.
