Update: Murder charge after police form strike force to investigate man’s death

UPDATE: Man charged with murder

A man has been charged with murder after the death of a man in Forbes on Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to Weelong Place, Forbes, about 1.20am Snuday after a 31-year-old man was found injured on the front lawn of a premises.

He was taken to Forbes Hospital with significant head injuries but was pronounced dead later in the morning.

A crime scene was established and detectives from Lachlan Local Area Command commenced inquiries under Strike Force Heinrich.

About 3.40pm (Sunday 19 November 2017), police arrested a 37-year-old man at a home on Show Street, Forbes.

He was taken to Forbes Police Station where he was charged with murder.

Police allege the man was involved in a violent confrontation with the victim prior to his death.

He was refused bail to appear at Parkes Local Court on Monday.

A man has died after he was located with head injuries at a home in Forbes, police have said in a media release issued on Sunday evening.

Emergency services were called to Weelong Place about 1.20am Sunday following reports a man had been injured.

The 29-year-old man was taken to Forbes Hospital with significant head injuries but was pronounced dead later in the morning.

Detectives from Lachlan Local Area Command have commenced inquiries under Strike Force Heinrich.

A crime scene was established at the property and officers have been canvassing the area.
