A specially designed caravan, with two consulting rooms for testing, which has been touring country centres in NSW will be in Forbes next week.
The Rotary Club said there higher amounts of people living in rural areas who have not seen their doctor for several years.
It has a full time Registered Nurse, Nicole Page, who will conduct several quick and simple tests for high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high blood sugar levels.
This service is completely free, with no need for bookings.
The Rotary Club said simple tests such as these can prevent deaths from serious, but treatable diseases.
The van will be located at the Central West Livestock Exchange on Tuesday and on Harold Street opposite the Town Hall on Wednesday.
