The winners this year were John Williams and Viv Russell with a sound result from the runners up Wayne Moon and Wayne Burton.
Wednesday in One: Laurie Crouch and Tony Bratton returned with a winning card from new player Neil Riley and Ray Dunstan. Ray paid me well not to print the score.
Denis Byrnes and Alf Davies finished just two ahead of Ray Sanderson and Trevor Currey. Gunna Williams and Sid Morris finished just one ahead of Barry Shine and Eddie Gould. Well done Barry and Eddie. John Gorton and Rob Priest stayed ahead of John Cutler and Barry Wright.
Next Wednesday is our Christmas party so we play at 10am for lunch on the deck at midday. All players who have put in an appearance on any Wednesday during the year are most welcome.
Thursday arvo: Good to see Harvey Elliott, Pete Brogan and Tony Bratton in the winning circle with a clear victory against Merv Langfield, John Ashcroft and Grant Lambert.
Ron Symons and Al Phillips picked up a win from Cherie Vincent and Lyall Strudwick. Fred Vogelsang and Dale Barker finished a few points ahead of John Baass and Greg Ward.
Christian West and Darryl Griffiths had a convincing win over Max Vincent and Peter Mackay.
Friday nights: Yes Friday night bowls is a good time to relax after a busy week. It’s on tonight as usual so come along as a team or as a single.
Sunday mornings: By John Stringer.
We had 28 bowlers last Sunday morning. The first round of the Forbes Bakehouse gift voucher was played. There were four clever players with resting touchers, Peter Tisdell, Alan Smith, Col Breaden and Russell Hodge.
The winning rink went to Peter Walker and Alan Smith while the losing rink went to Clive Herbert and Viv Russell. See you all this Sunday. The Pom.
The Bentick Trophy: Play is progressing well in the Bentick Trophy handicap singles.
Russell Dietrich defeated Sid Morris in a close game, Glen Kearney defeated new man Christian West, and Scott Andrews brought an end to Cliff Nelson’s winning run.
Russell Dietrich then defeated Glen Kearney in an entertaining close game. Rus is now in the semi-finals to play the winner of Scooter and John Kennedy.

Ladies pairs
The first ladies pairs carnival has been declared a success with coordinator Leisa Burton hoping it will become an annual event.
Twenty two pairs from Sydney and the central west entered – they got one round in on Saturday morning before the storms hit, then resumed play on Sunday. Winners are pictured.
