Mrs Spry said she is excited to take part in the event for the Leukaemia Foundation this Thursday afternoon at St Laurence’s.
“After being inspired by the amazing Garland girls, Scarlett shaved her hair earlier this year and Ava is still undergoing treatment for Leukaemia, I have decided to throw my hat in the ring and raise some much needed funds for families facing the diagnosis of leukaemia,” she said.
“Being a mother is by far my most loved and important role, and I want to support other mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters in their most challenging times.”
Mrs Spry’s initial goal was $2000, but has raised more than $6000 for the Leukaemia Foundation with the help of several fundraisers and a raffle which will be drawn on the day.
