The volunteers at Vinnies are again working on the hampers for some of our needy people in Forbes and surrounds.
At Christmas time people are so generous in giving of their goods and time.
This year Vinnies are preparing to deliver 140 hampers to families with children to many single people who will spend Christmas alone.
It makes a big difference to some just to know someone is thinking of them.
Vinnies wish to thank the school students and staff, especially Red Bend Catholic College, St Laurence’s for their continued generosity.
Thanks especially to Bernardi’s Supermarket who really get into the spirit of Christmas generosity.
There are so many anonymous people who donate food or cash, thank you.
There is a little army of volunteers who prepare the hampers, thank you all.
Tomorrow morning from 7am the cars and utes will line up at the back of Vinnies to deliver all over town.
The good folk from Centacare and Mental Health will collect and deliver their share to Forbes, Eugowra, Trundle and Tullamore and Condobolin.
The Salvation Army are in charge of toys again this year. They do such a marvellous job.
Vinnies hopes that the spirit and love of Christmas will be with you today, tomorrow and always.
