Hundreds of local high school students enjoyed colour runs as part of 2017 Youth Week activities.
The week was also an opportunity to recognise the achievements of local young people.

Opera Australia stars came all the way to Forbes to give a very special performance and raise funds for a very special family.
His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retired) spoke of the strength of community spirit as he officially opened the AMAZING sculpture by the Lachlan River.
The sculpture – a volunteer effort to build and install - was handed over to the Forbes Shire Council for the community.
Show stalwart Tom Dwyer was honoured with the Sydney Royal’s Show Legend Award.
A former farmer of 45 years, Tom has provided produce for the Show’s Western District Exhibit since 1964 and has helped design the intricate displays for the past 14 years.
Forbes Shire Council purchased the site of the old Lachlan Vintage Village and started working toward a master plan for its future: tourism, residential and floodwater solutions.
