There were some good lines of well finished and grain assisted cattle offered along with plainer secondary types.
Yearlings made up the majority of the offering. The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market.
Yearling steers to processors eased 10c to sell from 248c to 305c/kg.
Those to feed sold from 259c to 317c for medium weights and 290c to 316c/kg for heavy weights.
The heifer portion to processors was back 9c, receiving from 242c to 292c/kg for middle weights.
Heavy weights sold from 235c to 273c/kg.
Those to feed made from 235c to 274c/kg.
Numbers fell at Tuesday’s sheep and lamb sale with lambs showing the decrease.
Lamb quality continues to be mixed with good numbers of finished lambs offered along with some large runs of light store lambs.
The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market.
Store lambs to restockers attracted strong competition selling from $83 to $134/head.
Trade weight lambs were down by $10 with prices ranging from $120 to $149/head.
Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were $8 to $10 easier and more in places.
Heavy lambs sold from $144 to $157 and extra heavy weights received from $158 to $230/head.
Carcase prices averaged from 607c to 630c/kg.
