Forbes is forecast to hit a top of 40 degrees on Friday, 42 on Saturday and 41 on Sunday and again on Monday.
NSW Police are urging everyone to:
stay well-hydrated;
avoid alcohol and hot or sugary drinks;
limit your physical activity;
stay out of the sun during the hottest part of the day;
wear light, loose-fitting clothing made from natural fibres like cotton;
and plan who you can call if you do become unwell in the heat.
NSW Police has reminded motorists it’s not only an offence for children or pets to be left unattended in a vehicle, it can be deadly.
It can be just as dangerous for the elderly and disabled members of the community to be left in a hot car.
